Avada users have encountered a significant issue since the release of version 7.3, leaving many puzzled about how to resolve it. The culprit? Avada’s overhaul of Avada’s registration system, introducing a new method based on purchase codes tied to individual licenses.
Previously, some users exploited a loophole by employing a single token key across multiple websites, contravening Envato’s licensing terms which mandate one license per website. This practice undermined Avada’s sales revenue and necessitated a change.
The updated registration system now prevents users from circumventing licensing terms, requiring each website to have its own unique license. Consequently, users may encounter the frustrating error message: “The purchase code is already being used on another domain,” even if they haven’t previously used the code.
Fortunately, resolving this issue is straightforward and non-technical. Users who’ve purchased Avada can navigate to Avadas support account page (if not already registered) and access their licenses section. From there, simply click the “Unlink” icon below the purchase code to reset it.
Once done, return to the Avada Dashboard on your website, re-enter the purchase code, and voila – the registration issue is resolved for good.
By adhering to this process, users can ensure compliance with licensing terms while enjoying uninterrupted access to Avada’s features and updates.
