January 5, 2025, marks a decade since I joined ThemeFusion, the creators of the Avada WordPress Theme. Looking back on this incredible journey fills me with immense gratitude and nostalgia. It feels like just yesterday that I took my first steps into what would become one of the most rewarding chapters of my life.
My connection with Avada began even before I became a team member. Back in 2013, when Avada crossed its first $1 million in sales, I was in awe of what this theme had achieved. Joining the team felt like a distant dream at the time, but it was one I held onto. That dream became a reality on January 5, 2015, and I’ve been fortunate enough to be a part of Avada’s growth ever since. Thanks to Muhammad Haris and Luke Beck (The co-founders).
One week ago on December 31, 2024, and Avada reached another incredible milestone—1 million licenses sold. Being part of the team that achieved this monumental success is an honor beyond words. To think that a product I’ve dedicated so much of my time and energy to has touched so many lives around the world is truly humbling.
Over the past 10 years, I’ve sent almost 200,000 emails to customers and put in more than 20,000 hours of work. Those numbers represent countless moments of solving problems, learning, and growing alongside our users. But this journey hasn’t been without its challenges.
There were times when I struggled with my approach to customer interactions. Life’s pressures had me in a phase where my responses were rigid and lacked the empathy customers deserved. I learned that being in customer support is about more than just solving problems—it’s about making someone’s day easier, understanding their frustrations, and being the voice they can rely on. It’s about patience, understanding, and the willingness to learn and improve every single day.
Through it all, my passion for Avada has remained constant. Watching it evolve from a powerful theme into a market leader and an integral part of the WordPress community has been an incredible experience. Each update, new feature, and milestone has reinforced my belief in Avada.
Even after a decade, I can’t imagine waking up and not signing in for Avada. When I started this journey, I had no idea how deeply Avada would become a part of my everyday life. Over the years, it has grown from being just a product I supported to something I’m genuinely passionate about.
As I celebrate this milestone, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude. Gratitude for the dream that started it all, for the team that became a second family, and for the users who inspire me every day.
Thank you, ThemeFusion, and thank you, Avada. You’ve been more than a product to me; you’ve been a passion, a teacher, and a constant source of inspiration. Here’s to the next chapter in this incredible journey!
